Eunmi Moon, piano


The Monitor, an Illinois periodical, praised Eunmi Moon in its review by saying, ŅMs. Moon has a unique style of playing which is tasteful, doesnÕt overcome the soloist, yet manages to reach the musical heights.  Her technique is spotless and her dynamics come through with lyricism.Ó The Philadelphia Inquirer noted, ŅAccompanying with sensitivity and skill throughout, notably in the hushed reverie of Richard Strauss, was pianist Eunmi Moon.Ó 


Under the auspices of Community Concert Series sponsored by Columbia Artist Management, Ms. Moon has performed in major cities throughout the U.S. including: New York City, Cincinnati, Michigan, Chicago, Bartlesville, Hartford, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Santa Barbara, L.A., Norfolk among others. She has also performed in other countries such as Korea, Japan, Canada, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, Austria, France, Guatemala, Mexico, Norway and Argentina.


She has appeared as a guest collaborative artist on such venues as Wednesdays at One chamber music concert series and An evening of chamber music series at Alice Tully, Noonday Concerts series at Trinity, Gardner MuseumÕs Sunday concert series, Philadelphia Chamber Music SocietyÕs concert series, Pro-Musica concert series, Pro-Mozart concert series, The Naumberg Band Shell concert series, The Matinˇe Musicale Club concert series among others at famed Halls including: New YorkÕs Alice Tully, Merkin, Carnegie/Weill Recital halls, the 92nd Street Y, Colden Center, and the Philadelphia Convention center as well as countless music series in major museums and libraries.  Ms. Moon frequently collaborates with the acclaimed soprano, Theresa Santiago, a winner of the Naumburg Competition. They recorded ŌSpanish SongsÕ on the Musical Heritage Society label. 


A graduate of Seoul National University, Ms. Moon was the first Korean student to receive a Master of Music degree in Collaborative Piano from the Juilliard School, where she subsequently worked as Associate Coach at the schoolÕs famed Juilliard Opera Center, and she has received her second MasterÕs degree in Music Education from Teachers College at Columbia University. She was also a vocal coach at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. The recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, she made her Carnegie/Weill Recital Hall debut as a winner of the Artist International Competition in the Piano/Cello Duo Category.


She is currently an Adjunct Professor at Monmouth University and a Co-Adjutant at Rutgers University.
